Help for Participants
We do need people to help out and do various practical tasks. Don't be afraid: it's a great way to get to know other members of the community and to appear as an active community member!
This is a community conference: we are all, in our own way, the organisers of the conference and the architects of its success. If you're thinking of coming to EuroPython here are a few things you could do:
Blog about the conference! Which talks are you not going to miss? Which hot topics would you like to see covered or to discuss with people?
Promote the conference with the publicity materials and in your local or specialised user groups and communities!
Set up an Open Space or discussion session!
Be brave: give a lightning talk!
Organise a sprint!
Add information to this site, point people to useful information about Python, the venue, travel, or just general conference-going tips. Update the FAQ!
Just chatting in the hallway and giving other participants something to think about - stuff that they maybe hadn't really thought about before - is something that makes EuroPython an interesting conference to go to.
Take a look at the Before, During and After sections for some practical advice on what you can do to make your conference experience more interesting!
The 2009 Feedback forms have been analysed: EP2009Feedback. Thanks to PyWM local group members who did the data entry and analysis, and to everyone who took the time to fill them out at last year's conference.
