Improvements for 2016
- Find dates which don't clash with OSCON (they use July as conference month as well): http://www.oscon.com/open-source-2015
- Find dates which don't clash with PyData (they are a perfect satellite event for EuroPython): http://pydata.org/
- Find dates which don't clash with Euskal Encounter (2016-07-21/25): http://www.euskalencounter.org/en/
- Find dates which are not close to other big conference events in the same location or close by (these typically cause the hotel prices to go through the roof).
- PyCon US 2016 in Portland, Oregon will be from May 30 - June 1 2016 (the main conference days)
- Don't have a conference booklet, but instead just a leaflet which covers the schedule, the most important conference details and the sponsor logos
- Put restrictions on the talk title length and abstract; it may even be good to have an abstract and extra proposal info field in the CFP data to reduce the size of the abstracts.
- Make sure we have some "Introduction to Python" trainings on the first or second day
- Have a first time speaker coaching session on the first or second day
